Doing the right thing at the right place – digital decision support and spatial planning.

The effectiveness of agri-environment measures is highly dependent on the location of the measure in the landscape. Waterdrive has developed two tools to support the development of decision support for steering measures to optimal locations. The first one is an on-line tool building on high-resolution land- and water data in four selected pilotareas of the BSR. The other is a “Story map” showing the presently available access to geospatial information and data in the Baltic Sea Region. During Waterdrive implementation, there has been a high interest from all countries in developing digital solutions for steering of agri-environment action to the optimal location. For the effectiveness of agri-environment programs, the general approach is becoming more and more changed to targeted approaches.
